想去苏格兰看见妈妈。
Finally, we are able to plan a trip to see our family in Scotland. We plan to take the train because Kevin can’t drive and 8 hours drive is too long for just myself to drive. Flying to Scotland is only about £100-150 and the train is also about £120. But the train is more convenient and better for the environment. The train from here to there is only about 5 hours and we will only have one suitcase and one bag, so it’s not too difficult. Also, we don’t need to remember our passports!
Both my mum, and Kevin’s parents live in the West of Scotland, near the beach. As you can imagine, all of the grandparents are very excited to see Willa. If the weather is sunny, we will take Willa to the beach to play. She hasn’t been to the beach since she was very little, so she will discover the sea. We will find shells, we will put our feet into the sea, we will dig the sand and we will buy her an ice cream.
We will be in Scotland for a week. It is my nephew’s birthday, so I hope we will have a small family party. We are also excited to have a babysitter for the first time in 4 months, so we would like to go out in the evening and see one or two friends. Some outside pubs and restaurants have opened so we hope the weather is warm enough. It will be nice to have a drink of beer with friends.
I have almost finished my work, so I will be less busy now. And now that places are open again, we hope to do more travelling in August. We are planning to go camping once or twice. And finally eat in restaurants, see friends and return to normal.
