在中国和新加坡吃东西

对我来说，吃才是旅游最重要的事情。我爱吃东西。我已经是素食者十五年了，在伦敦吃好的，吃素食越来越容易。因为现在很流行吃纯素食所以吃东西很好玩（有意思）。 我有很多选择。

在新加坡吃印度菜。

亚洲不一样。遗憾的是， 我不容易找素食。我觉得新加坡和中国菜好吃但是它非常单一（有限）。
新加坡因为有很多小贩市场出名。 它们是很大市场，有上百家大排档。他们卖很多世界美食。 在新加坡住着很多中欧人，印度人， 西方人和东南亚人。所以菜系才很多样而有趣。凯文很喜欢吃有名的海南鸡饭和印度的鸡肉咖喱。我比较喜欢吃葱油面条和印度面包。
上海有很多世界美食，但是我们想吃很多中国菜。有的时候， 看菜单太难了， 所以我们点很多“素食菜”。 凯文和Willa宝宝就吃有肉的菜。
特别的是， 有的时候我们在商场吃饭（在英国我没去过商场吃东西）。上海有非常多商场！ 在中国我最爱的是冰糖葫芦和煎饺。 很好吃！

For me, food is a very big part of travelling. I love to eat. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years and in the UK, over that time it has got easier and easier to eat good vegetarian food. The recent trend for veganism makes eating a lot of fun. I have so much choice.
Asia is different. Sadly, vegetarian food is not easy to find. Not to say that Singaporean or Chinese food is bad; it's just limited.

Singapore is famous for it's Hawker markets. They are big ， food markets with hundreds of small stalls selling dishes from all over the world. Singapore has lots of Chinese, Indian, Westerna and South-East Asian people living there, so their cuisine is doverse and interesting. Kevin enjoyed the famous Chicken and Rice dishes, and chicken curries, while I preferred the Spring Onion noodles and Indian dosas.

Shanghai had a lot of international foods, but we wanted to eat Chinese food as much as possible. Sometimes, it was very difficult to read the menu, so we ordered as much "vegetarian" food as possible, and then Kevin and baby Willa would eat anything that came with meat.
Unusually, we often ate in Shopping centres (not something I would do in the UK)。 Shanghai has so many Shopping Centres!
In China, my favourite foods are X, a bit like british toffee apples and sweet bean filled rice dumplings. So yummy!
